Missions

We have a fantastic ministry in this area.

Scott and Elina Turner and their little son Linus and daughter Jane, work with Wycliffe Bible Translators.  They are serving in Southeast Asia, with an unreached people group.  Their ministry is to first learn the language and then begin to share Bible stories.

Our Church has also developed a relationship with Haiti.  For many years we have been sending a team of people to minister in what is known as the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

In February 2008, Jim S.  lead a team of 13, five of whom are from our church. to Haiti.  They helped with a medical mission team in two different communities.  The first was Archia, where they had been last year.  They ministered to the people of the community as well as to some 100 ministers who were there for a short educational/revial meeting.  Then they went into the mountains of Haiti, to a small village called Farasi.  Again, they helped with a medical clinic, (2 doctors, a dentist and a chiropractor).  This was a community that had never been served by a medical clinic before, many children had never seen white people before nor had the Gospel of Jesus Christ been demonstrated in such a manner.   In all, almost 1000 people were served and prayed for.

Throughout the year, Faith Church participates in all sorts of mission projects.  "Shoes and pop cans for Haiti", Operation Christmas Child (shoeboxes), Emma Norton services, Simpson Shelter, Salvation Army coats.

We truly believe that our Faith must be more than just words.  Our Faith needs to be lived and practiced daily.  We have been called to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and to build up His Kingdom by loving our neighbors, erspecially the "least of these".
